About the artist As the daughter of a garden designer, Lucy grew up with the concept of the garden being a forum for expressing artistic ideas and displaying works of art. Her first garden piece was commissioned by her father for his garden, where it was spotted by Geoffrey Hamilton for his television series 'Paradise Gardens' Since that time, Lucy has received considerable recognition for her garden features and has regularly shown at the RHS Chelsea Flower Shows Her range of fountains, wall plaques, fountain bowls and balls in glazed fired clay, combine an awareness and respect for our natural world with an artisitic flair for capturing the joy and beauty of her subjects. Each piece is handcrafted in stoneware clay and fired to high termperatures to ensure they can remain outside all year round. The glazes are chosen to compliment wall surfaces and foliage both in the garden and conservatory. Lucy regularly undertakes special commissions. If you need more information, wish to discuss a particular piece or visit her studio in east London, please contact her.
